Luxury metal finishes.
Metal has been used in the world of furniture for as long as artisans and designers have wanted to express form and ideas in a material that not only is extremely durable, but has an inherent beauty that is often enhanced rather than diminished by the passing of time. Our studio specializes in the finest metalwork and metal finishing and is known for seamlessly incorporating metal within the form and finish of our pieces.
Whether it is the hammered polished surfaces of our Pacifica Cabinet, or the jewel like metal details on our selenite collection, our studio creates beautiful lasting details and pays immaculate attention to the final finish and surface of our work.

FAQs

Metal finishes vary greatly for care, from nickel to brass and bronze. While some of our metals are clear coated and meant to be relatively carefree, others are not and will either naturally age and patina, developing character and nuance over the years, or can of course be polished as necessary and kept looking new. For questions on care for specific items, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Brass and bronze are both alloys of copper. In it’s polished state, Brass typically has a more yellow tone, whereas bronze is known for more of a warmer champagne tone due to the higher copper content. Both metals resist corrosive environments, but will patina and age over time. While clear coating can protect the original color of the polished metals, it is not maintenance free and typically will need to be renewed within 5-10 years.
